Did you know an Employer must provide a written statement of the ten core terms of employment within the first 5 days of the Employee starting their job? This should be followed up within 1 month of an Employee starting employment to provide a written statement of the remaining ten terms of employment.

If this is not provided within the timeframe, case law has shown the Employer can be liable to pay Employees up to 8 weeks salary per person in compensation!

To help navigate the complexity of Employee contracts, Adare have created a comprehensive checklist for Irish Employers. This free resource will guide you through the essential elements of a legally sound contract, whether it’s a permanent, fixed-term, or specific-purpose contract.

By downloading this checklist, you can:

  • Mitigate risk: Ensure you’re not exposed to legal challenges and cost due to inadequate contracts.
  • Improve employee relations: Clear, comprehensive contracts foster better understanding and reduce conflict.
  • Save time and resources: Avoid costly mistakes by getting it right from the start.
